Our business

In response to customer needs, the FUKUJIN KISEN group owns a wide variety of vessels including container carriers and product carriers, centered on bulk carriers, which are chartered out to major shipping companies, both in Japan and overseas.
We have safety and environmental management policies, manuals and procedures in conformity with the ISM Code and ISO 14001 requirements; we follow the rules and regulations at each international port as well as by the International Conventions; we satisfy class requirements, and maintain and supervise the seaworthiness and safety navigation of each vessel.

Each of our staff is engaged in daily duties to secure the ships safe operation as their superior mission by grasping the movement of respective vessels, finding risks and dealing with them at an early stage to avoid marine casualties to our fleet.

Technical Dept.

In a simple word, ship maintenance control is the main duty put simply our main duty is “Ship Management” We strive to maintain operational safety and reduce costs by finding potential hazards and malfunctions at an early stage.
Knowledge and skill are required by us in many areas, technical capabilities for hull structures, paint, material, machinery and electrical and also understanding international convention safety regulations and charter party.

Safety Superintendence Group

As a key section for the education and training of safety navigation for our crew and shore staff, and for the further improvement of safety knowledge and know-hows, we've newly founded a team called Safety Superintendence Group in April 2016.

System Management Group

It is required for ship-owners to establish the SMS (Ship Management System) based on ISM Code (International Safety Management Code) for safe management and operation of ships and for pollution prevention.
Our Company also has EMS (Environmental Management System) based on ISO 14001 in addition to SMS to enhance protection of the environment.

Marine Project Group

Our group is new and started from 2022 for study, investigating in carbon free fuel and vessels for new building and DX in the Ship management system is our main business.

Corporate Planning Dept.

We do middle and long range management planning directed by management strategy to distribute management resources (financial and human) with best proportion by taking external factors like economical circumstance, maritime market as well as internal one, the ship management sections, into consideration coordinating with other dept.

Administration Dept.

Our duties are wide varieties including personal affairs, labor allied duties, management-related duties of facilities, IT duties and so on.
We support other dept. so they perform their specialized function effectively by concentrate on duties.

Finance and Accounting Dept.

The accounts department plays a vital role in the running of our company.
Following required regulations, we record, calculate, categorize and gather our company’s financial activities to produce regular accounts.
We then share this and any other relevant information with our Banks and financial advisors to maintain and improve a trusting relationship.
And missions to “Financing Arrangement", "Fund Management", "Risk Hedge for Exchange Rates & Interest Rates", "Management of Ship Operation Cost".

ESG Promotion Group

We newly organized the “ESG Promotion Team” in Oct 2021 and earnest ESG management base in SDG’s.

Overseas Offices

We have overseas offices in Manila, Busan, Shanghai to maintain our system in a high level.
Such as securing dock space, attending the vessel in oversea ports as Superintendent and manage our crews.
